I adore movies. Especially adventure, fantasy and science fiction films. I think the most important feature of the these combined genres is not necessarily the imaginintive element of it all so much as the fundamental conflicts they contain. There is, for the most part, a central pitting of good against evil that I find comforting if over played. The real world is plagued by lots of gray issues. Everyone has their own motivations and thinks they are doing the right thing...and things get awfully confused along the way to the point where it can be hard to draw a line in the sand and say one person is pure good or evil. I believe the level of ignorance required to declare a human being good or evil is insufferable to the average person.
Which is why...I LOVE Monsanto! They are so ridiculously bad. They are ice mountain volcano villain lair murdering children bad. They are step on kitten bad. Finally something black and white. Check this out if you need some help making your decision on them. As a biologist I find this absolutely mind boggling.
